Turns out the phone isn't supposed to come with a CD I guess. The box labels that it does, but the manual tells you where to get the software which is all I'd need from the CD anyway so I just downloaded it. I found the pedometer application I was trying to find all of the first day (was in a rather obvious spot, but not where the manual said). I walked 3+ miles today, and burned 210 calories. Woo. Wonder how I'll do tomorrow since I have to go to school and work. Probably close to 6 miles I'd guess. Find out tomorrow :P

Went to best buy today, my mom wanted my help finding the keyboard that's on my Amazon wish list (birthday the 26th... snuck up on me). They had it, but they had it for $30 more than Amazon does. So, my mom said she's going to wrap it and then return it. We put in an order for it online so I should get it Tuesday instead for real. Also bought a 1gb memory card for my phone at BB for $30. Turns out Amazon has a 2gb model for 29, and a 4gb model for 38. So I sprung for the 4gb and told mom if she wants I'll buy the whole thing or the difference or whatever. Good times. Seems like I'll actually get a pretty cool birthday this year, thank you Amazon wish list!

Hmm. Other news... My sister is getting married on the 14th of August, so I apparently need to get that paperwork in to work just in case I'm back by then (school doesn't start til the 25th so I doubt it). My dad wants to go shopping for a tux/suit or something over the weekend :/ Apparently my brother left his suit here though, which doesn't fit him anymore and fits me pretty perfectly so I might get out of it. (He drank too much beer and now has the gut appropriate for it)

Haven't seen Jordan in a while. Not sure what's up, he never leaves messages as to why. I imagine the Wii that was broken is now fixed and he's been playing smash nonstop between work and sleep.

Feel like I'm in a surprisingly good mood right now. Maybe I'll do some quick exercises that I've been doing, attempt to come up with research topics, and then call it a night.

Interesting that this "minor update" is longer than the original post.

So... I got a new phone today. I can't use the word "bought" because it was free. I'm the new owner of a Sony-Ericsson w580i. So far I like it. The buttons are a tad small but otherwise I haven't found anything to complain about yet. Unfortunately it didn't come with a CD that has the PC software that I am pretty sure it is supposed to have, so I'll have to swing by again and see what's up I think.

First day I've worn shorts this summer. Finally, the weather is nice! Probably switch to jeans for tonight at work though, 'cause I'm kinda cold already and it's still midday. Mmm. Dunno. Not a whole lot of news I suppose.

Sometimes I really wish I had a better control of myself. I procrastinated again, and while I'm somewhat lucky that one of the three essays due tomorrow was pushed to Friday, I'm unlucky that two did not. I'm halfway finished with one, just need to find some sources and throw them in. The other I'm completely screwed on. Somehow I need to find five sources about this statue. Whether it's about art styles or materials used, I don't think it matters, as long as it's semi-current. Only one internet source allowed, and I didn't have any time today to go to the library and run through the stacks for something--anything, really--to use. So... I'll turn that in late, take the 20 point late penalty (unclear how many points this is worth... hopefully more than 100?) I wonder how many points I'd lose if I just didn't meet the sources requirement. Maybe I can find a couple sources online and find the equivalent book information so that I can say it was a book and not the internet...

I need to get to work, as much as I don't really want to. I can't wait for summer to come.

I've had a pretty good week. Finally catching up on anime I've had downloaded but not watched, playing Rainbow Six Vegas that I hadn't installed but purchased back in December... It's been pretty good catching up. Finished watching Pumpkin Scissors, which was meh. Plot was a little dodgy, they bit off more than they could chew. Everything else was fine, but the plot is a bit of a central thing... you can't not have a plot and still have a nice piece of anime. Jordan's been trying to get me to get around to watching Samurai X: Trust x Betrayal (Rurouni Kenshin) that I've had on my computer for probably years without watching, so I tried watching it. Only to found the subs are included separate, and nothing can get them to work. So I'm downloading it again. The first half was pretty amazing. Think I'll grab the TV show, since the OVAs are good. Started watching Bubblegum Crisis. Seems alright. Gotta have a high tolerance for the old ways, though, I think. Old art, old music, voice actors are good but... there's something different about them.

Looking into new PC parts. I thought stuff was supposed get cheaper, but now I'm looking at like $600. Guess I'm waiting more :P The new quad core's came out from Intel, but the prices are basically the same.

I've decided to go down to Urbana for the summer. I applied to get my job moved down there a couple days ago, but no word yet. I've gotta tell HR still that come end of finals I'm not going to be working at this store. Mmm.

Can't think quite straight right now, listening to an older PA podcast.. not sure why... Maybe I'll post a more thought out entry later.
