.: Bad Times :.

So, one came home WASTED and the other came home sober. The one who didn't puke on my other roomates bed is the one who is wasted, who also happens to be a friend of mine for 8 years. That bum's damn lucky he's a good friend of mine or I would have locked him outside to suffer for his idiocy. He was throwing up until 4 am when we finally got him to sleep, and then when he woke up again he was still throwing up. Things got so bad we took him to the hospital and I stayed with him for 5 and a half hours while they stuck him with an IV for dehydration and gave him pepcid. Good friend or not, next time he's staying outside. I took care of him once, if he has the idea to it again after what happened to him last time I say good riddance. There isn't space in the gene pool for people who don't learn from mistakes.

Thus concludes my hatrid for mankind. In other news, my WoW subscription is up and I'm not sure if I want to pay again for it. At least, not yet. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned Tabula Rasa before on my blog, which is supposed to come out in February. I'm thinking I'll hold out a little longer to see how that is, and in the mean time I'll just watch anime and play Dungeon Siege II that I took from a friend of mine. That game's pretty big, it might occupy me 'til then. We shall see.

Classes are going pretty well, I've got a chem test tomorrow that's pretty big that I should be studying for, as all the teachers say it is a killer. Taking care of my friend all day yesterday put me behind a little on some of my homework, so I have three classes worth of homework due tomorrow... A book I ordered last Wednesday still isn't in at the bookstore that I need... Nothing else really. College is a blast, but there are definately times when it can be the last thing you want to do; just like high school, I suppose. I'm excited for the end of this semester, because it'll be the last semester of English I'll ever have to take again. Unless for some reason I fail this one, which is unlikely. Hm. No more essays... Mmmm....

.: Good Times :.

So, today one of my roomates puked on the other roomate's bed. And then they're both going out to get drunk.

Idiots.

.: Social :.

I wish I was more social. I feel like so many of my friends and I are drifting so far apart now because we never talk. Not just the people I know in real life now that we're all at college either. Everybody... People, please talk to me ;_;

.: RL MMO :.

Alright, so now I have a lot of time. So, heres what I've been thinking about for a while now.

Real life is EXACTLY like a good MMO should be. It starts out a blast, when you're a kid there are no restrictions, you just play games all day and hang out with all your friends. Climbing trees, playing video games, swimming, riding bikes, swinging... I remember doing all these things, and I remember having tons of fun during it all. In the early stages of life, its like the early levels of an MMO. This is the point where they do their best to hook you so you keep playing for a long time. By the time you're in the moderate levels, I'll call this high school, you're bored with what you did as a child, and seek new forms of entertainment. In some MMOs, this is the point where you pick your main job (i.e. in RO you were a novice until now). You go to college to learn new skills, and in MMO terms this is where you spend most of your time learning some more about the game. You might also spend a lot of your time now refining your skills and improving on what you already know. You're doing the bulk of the quests available now, and doing the hardest grinding to get by.

Finally, you reach the upper middle of the game, the 40's of WoW, the 70's of RO, the 40's of FFXI. This is the point where you pick a new, more advanced part of the job you were in. This might also be the 40's of real life, midlife crisis mode, where you switch careers. I suppose, if you don't get a midlife crisis, this might be a point where you go back to graduate school for more training.

In the end of your life, the only thing keeping you happy is your kids and friends that are still alive. In MMOs, this is your alternate characters, and your friends that haven't gotten bored of the game yet.

Yeah. Scary? Or am I insane?

Classes are going pretty well, besides my RHET class, which has a four to five page essay due Friday. And I haven't done anything on it. I'm not too worried about it, things always seem to work out.

.: temporary! :.

things to do later:

-make a post about how real life can be compared to an MMO (i've actually thought about this pretty extensively)

-post about classes again, because i can...

-bitch about homework, because i can...

-bitch about not playing world of warcraft... because i can't and it blows. (see "bitch about homework...")

things to do now: bitch i cant make this into a longer post because of "bitch about homework..."

god damn RHET105. the number is so low, yet the homework is so much.
