.: Lastly :.

Rereading previous entries reminded me of the idea about a TV in my room... Maybe after I work off the money I owe for my car still (roughly $900) I might be in the market for a smallish TV. I suppose I should also invest in desk space...

I really haven't figured out what the purpose of last.fm is yet. Yeah, it tracks all my music and stuff, but that's all it really does. It's neighbor finder thing is pretty primative, especially it's "taste-o-meter" which, as I understand it, decides if you have similiar taste in music with another person based on how many artists you both listen to, irregardless of genre. It's forcably primative though, as genre metadata on ID3 tags on MP3s is probably one of the least filled in and generally wrong tags I would say. It doesn't even upload them. If they could use the system from Pandora (which I haven't used in forever, but it was still really nice), it would be a lot better off. Maybe they'll come to some sort of agreement? That'd be pretty cool to see.

.: Newegg :.

Well... For some reason Newegg sent me a couple emails finally telling me that the RAM I RMA'd is out of stock or not in production anymore (I haven't checked, that's just what they told me), so instead they're going to refund me the purchase price of the RAM since it was within the 30 day refund policy (which it was out of, it had been probably 60+ days). I'm not quite sure what the deal is. I guess I'm happy with it, as that means I get my money back, and I think I wrote this before but I really didn't notice a difference upgrading from 1GB of RAM to 2GB. In the end, I got to try it out, decide I didn't like it, and get my money back. So that'll be nice on my bank statement.

The new login system for the BlogThis! button pisses me off, because if I save the password with Firefox, it tries to use it for GMail too. It'd be nice if they were to... change it back, please?

.: Well :.

I guess there's sort of a unmentioned law that says if some news thats pretty severe happens you have to update your blog?

Well. Happy New Years for starters.

School started again, last day of the week is today... So far I think I like these business classes. They're going to be a lot more work than the other one's I was taking before, but I think it'll also be more brainless in general. Less difficult, but more work. Well. I shouldn't say less difficult, because I'm thinking a lot of it is going to be stuff I'm pretty bad at, like, talking to people about stuff that isn't a primary interest of mine. For example, interviewing somebody else about their small business, their worries, etc, etc.

I actually really like my small business class, I had that Wednesday night, for four hours. It was really long, but honestly I think it went by faster than my LAN class last semester where I was actually at a computer, with internet access. At the very least, I feel I'll actually learn some useful things. Really oddly, I think I'll like financial accounting too, but that could just be because my professor seems to be pretty awesome.

Hmm. I guess the major news is that I bought a car today... That's the reason I posted I suppose. It's a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. The sales consultant, general manager, and dealership owner claim that this car was actually owned by the son of the guy who plays the "doctor" on the Max Madsen commercials, if you guys get those. It's got the standard effects, power steering, windows, locks, mirrors. A CD player... It's silver on the outside, grey on the inside. Cloth seats... We basically got it at the very end of our price range, so I'm thinking I'll be pretty poor for a while.

Hm. I'm going through anime pretty quickly now. I watched Genshiken not so long ago... A great comedy about otaku's basically. Very funny stuff. I'm watching Eyeshield 21 now, which is about football, or, Ameftu (I assume it would be capitalized, as it's apparently short for American Football) as it sounds like they're saying. It's alright. Not the best show out there, but it's pretty good either way. Unfortunately it's one of those shows that tries to be sentimental at times, and really fucks it up, just because it doesn't fit. And the voice actors aren't spectacular at it either...

I guess before both of those I watched Black Lagoon, which was pretty good. It's about a group of hired delievery people who own a torpedo boat basically. Some interesting plot lines. I read somewhere that it was the best show in the world EVER, and I think because I read that I'm less impressed than I should be. The art is good, music is fine (although not impressionable), voice acting is good. Idea's somewhat original, so I'd probably give it a A- or B+. Nothing really stands out about it after I've watched it. No in depth characters, it's really just about action, and that's it.

After I finish Eyeshield 21, I've got the second season of that, and Elfen Lied will hopefully be finished by then, as it's been really freaking slow.

A while back I bought some new RAM on Newegg, and it recently failed on me. I RMA'd it about a week ago, and have yet to recieve anything about it. UPS said it got there OK, but the return status on Newegg still shows that they haven't gotten it... In fact, UPS said they delivered it a week ago.

There. Just sent them an email about it. Hopefully I'll get a genuine response soon.

I stopped playing Exteel after about a week of playing in the beta. I think really I just needed a spacer game between good ones. I still haven't found the next great game. I resubscribed to WoW (shame!), because like all great addicts, I relapsed. I haven't played it a lot, I really don't have time, unfortunately. Especially now that school is starting again. There has been a lot of changes, and now that the expansion's out, a ton more as well. I didn't buy, and don't plan on buying the expansion, but all my friends from WoW say it's pretty awesome. Not interested in burning an additional $40 on it at the moment. Maybe when it drops down to $10 or something. It doesn't even come with a free month!

Can't think of anything else off the top of my head. Sleepy time. If I can, I'll post some pictures of the car later. Hopefully I won't have to use my phone to take pictures. Bwahaha.
