.: eh :.
Well. Looks like nobody reads this on a daily basis anymore >.< I just now noticed that Becky had an update on her blog though >.> Maybe my browser sucks at finding updates, but I could have sworn I checked yesterday before the LAN party... I moved the shoutbox up, I think I'll delete all the posts so we can start anew... Maybe... maybe I'll let other people write on my blog... I dunno. Then I'd have to turn it into something... Mostly I just want people to look at this >< I'm a sucker for attention I guess...

I'm seriously thinking about gettin rid of that shoutbox... Or maybe if I moved it up where you could see it people would use it. Dunno. Maybe nobody has anything they want to say? Post comments on your thoughts please...

.: School's Out ForEVAH :.
So, today was my final day of school. I managed to get everybody who was somebody sign my yearbook, so I'm happy about that. Even if our yearbook does omit 200+ people from the index, not label pictures, mispell countless words, change font sizes in the middle of a word, give credit to the wrong artist for pictures... The list goes on. They really really fucked up our yearbook. It's a shame too, seeing as this is my senior yearbook. Oh well. I'm over it, the day I got it, and got this 3 page long list of mistakes insert in my yearbooks front cover, I was pissed. That was yesterday. I'm over it.
Now I'm just kinda depressed. All my life I've been sort of directed a place to go to, and now all of a sudden there is such freedom that I don't know what to do. I kind of wish I still had to go back to high school. At the same time though, I can't WAIT to get the hell out of my house. I know I don't have it bad, and that I really don't have much of a reason to complain, but man. I hate my parents. At least they're not total dicks like a friend of mine... Ehehe. Yeah his parents say D&D is demonic, and playing on the computer too much brings him away from God. They're hardcore though, like, evangelists to the MAX. Ah. Yeah it's good being athiest. Even if people look at you funny when they ask what religion you are. Athi-what? HOW DARE YOU NOT BELIEVE IN GOD! And so forth. Not a common question though, so that topic can be avoided. Uh, yeah. Not to get into a long discussion about religion (I think I just did), but I'm not saying you can't believe in whatever you want to; go nuts. Just don't try and push it on me, because I get angry with people trying to tell me what to do when I'm not getting anything useful from it (I.E. money, from a job). Ugh.

.: Star Wars III :.
Personally, I really liked the movie. I went to school this morning, and most people agreed with me. There were some niche arguments (one of my friends hates it when battle droids talk) that I don't quite agree with (I thought those scenes were hilarious); but for the most part it got an overall good review amongst people I know. However, there was a person whose, I have to admit, arguments were flawless. He mentioned that Anakin & Sidious both did a really good job acting, but pretty much everybody else wasn't in their groove. They really should have gone into more detail as to how Anakin goes to the dark side, also. I think his last point was that the dialog between Anakin & Padme really just... Sucked. I think Ebert said something about Lucus along the lines of, "I've seen greeting cards with more romance." Cold. I still liked it a ton though. The acting wasn't phenominal, but it was still really good, you did see enough of Anakin's turn to the dark side to really know what was going on, and the conversations between Anakin & Padme are short anyway. So all the bad things aren't really all that bad. Plus, Yoda kicks some fucking ASS in this one. He did the most awesome thing I've ever seen before too: threw his lightsaber like a javalin through the chest of one guy, jumped on him, pulled it out, and then did some decapitation of more bad dudes. He's so cool! Uh. Anyway that's about all there is to it... Not much else to write about here... Bleach is an awesome anime. If you haven't seen it, find some way to do it, because it's awesome. If you're looking for it, send me an IM and I should have some information. .: ACEN! :.
Well, I'm long overdue for another post on my blog anyway, and I need to post the events of one of the best weekends of my life. FRIDAYTo start out the best day, I went through the worst part: going to school. This was a necessary task, as I currently have perfect attendence for all four years. I don't really know how I pulled that off, but I hear theres a thousand dollar scholarship looking my way if I can make it work. After school, I was rushed to O'hare where ACen was. A quick registration (with free goodies! two manga's and a hard copy CD of the iRO install. I have no idea how iRO got involved in ACen when I wasn't looking...) followed by the getting of the pillows tickets led to some initial purchasing of merchandise. I'll get into that list later. When we were done, we went back to the room to drop off our new stuff and sat around there for a bit to kill time. We then left for the pillows concert. To my dissappointment (I should have realized this, though), they were not the first to perform, and we essentially waited an hour listening to some band play decent music. And then: THE PILLOWS! I managed to grab third row standing postions to it, and it was fucking awesome. They totally rocked, played most of the FLCL OST, and then, in an hour, it was over. Sawao (the lead guitar & vocalist) jumped around a bit, played some awesome guitar, and mostly pwned like the other three: Yoshiaki (the rythm guitar), Jun (the bassist), and Shinichiro (the drummer). But it wasn't over. The audience kept chanting, "pillows" over and over again. In a short while, they all ran back on stage again, and Sawao said something along the lines of, "OK, you want final song?!" Everybody yelled back, "YEAH!" and they started pounding out Advice from their 1999 album "Happy Bivouac". One of the best choices for an encore, it made my night and most likely my month. They rocked so hard... After the concert I ran over to where they were going to be signing merchandise, and discovered the line was already at least 100 people long. I waited about half an hour and bought a CD & shirt, and get them to sign the CD. I managed to sort of say "thanks so much" in my mostly gone voice (from yelling so much at the concert) before leaving their graced presence. I limped my way back to the room with my dead feet and legs, and pretty much fell asleep. SATURDAYSaturday went a heck of a lot slower. I woke up around eight or so, and took my shower and ate my breakfast. We went buying again, and I believe we wasted around two hours in that area. We walked back to the hotel where most of the con events were going on, and I watched an episode of The Getbackers which has a crappy title, but looks pretty good. It's apparently about a group of two people who get paid to retrieve stolen stuff for a large fee. I guess it is a common occurance in the show (but I only saw one episode) that there is some sort of escort service of assassins that attempt to stop them, and they somehow make it through every time. I think I went back to the room after this to rest my feet a bit, and eat some lunch. I think we went shopping again after that, only now I discovered another section to it (took me all of... what three hours?), which has a bunch of artists. You can buy their work and so forth, or commission some of them to draw in front of you. I ended up avoiding that place for the most part, as it was kinda odd for me. There was almost no traffic in there, so when you walked by, the people in the booth kinda looked at you longingly, hoping you'll buy their stuff. Spooky. Sometime around now I went back to the hotel and down to the basement where there was an RPG room and game room. The game room sucked, it was always jam packed, and there was no chance of ever getting to play. The RPG room, however, was pretty cool. People were playing all sorts of random card games, board games, and other games... I learned to play "Go!", surrounding chess apparently around for a few thousand years. Pretty complex, but lots of fun. My friends joined a Magic: The Gathering tournament, where they were all knocked out by the second round (which took a few hours, matches were one hour, best of three). Back at the room, we ordered a pizza, which we didn't manage to eat all of, and was pretty crappy anyway. Back to watching some anime, I saw an episode of Madlax, which is actually good. It surprised me because it was done by the people behind Noir, a notoriously slowww paced anime. I hate slow anime. Another assassin anime, I don't know much about it. Lots of guns and rediculious aiming inherent in any good assassin anime. And the main character is a pretty sexy female. Eventually, it became close to midnight, and people were mostly sleeping. So, we headed to the game room. It apparently was STILL crowded enough that there was essentially no chance to play any game that didn't suck. However, we were randomly polled by a cool kid. He asked us if we believed in god, and when only one person said yes, he began discussing what all was wrong with religion. Random things like how Christian's misuse the word faith, and other time old arguments against the people and not the religion ensued. We eventually went back to the room and fell asleep. SUNDAYThe last day of the con, it went by the fastest. We went back to the buying place again (this time I bought my moogle of awesomeness), hoping to find some nice deals on merchandise. Didn't work out, but it was still cool. Back at the hotel, we watched the end of the second Gundam movie, which looked like it sucked. I know the ending did, hehe. I found out that this entire time, they'd been serving free food on the second lobby floor in a room on the other side of the stairs, well hidden. I had a few bagles and some mountain dew, then left for more anime. Sadly, nothing good was on so I stopped by the RPG room again. Watched a few rounds of magic, and then left to find my friends again. We waited around in the lobby mostly until it was time to leave. The con slowly slipped into the distance behind us... It was a lot of fun. I wish Becky-senpai could have been there, I don't think there would have been a dull moment. Oh well. She probably would have been really tired from the other con in Mexico anyway... Well, this turned out to be a lot longer than I orginally planned, but that's good. No need to forget the weekend... THE PILLOWS ROCK! MERCHANDISE - Sweet Hellsing Shirt! $18
- A pillows shirt that says "BUSTERS" in a half-circle, then in a smaller font half circle it says "THANK YOU VERY MUCH I LIKE YOU" $15

- The best moogle plushie ever $11.95 (blue)

.: Naked! :.
Well, actually not. I broke my watch yesterday somehow again... Only this time the band broke pretty much in half. So today I went shopping and managed to find a watch that is almost the exact same as my last, so I'm happy. Now I don't feel like I'm missing a part of me. ^_^
Today I got a call from Dicks Sporting Goods, which just so happens to be one of the many many I applied to over the weekend. YAY! And the best part is they're interested in hiring me for helping with the climbing wall! I love climbing! If the interview goes well on Saturday, then I'm looking at a job belayin' kids who climb. I don't know for sure, but I suspect that during periods of time where there are no customers, we can probably climb ourselves. My goal (if they let us) is to manage to climb by myself. This will be a difficult task, as it will require the use of mostly my feet unless I can get my hands on one super awesome ATC that locks when I'm not pulling rope through. My suspicion is, if I get hired I'll probably end up buying a bunch of climbing stuff. Because climbing is awesome. You should all go out to the nearest climbing facilities and give it a run. It'll probably cost about $20 for the day, plus food... Climb now!
On a final note, I spent most of my day today looking for new Windows themes. I found a really good site with a lot of very well done themes too: WinCustomize. I'm currently using the SkinPlant 2K5 theme, but I'm thinking of changing... It's too mellow for me. Nice theme though, even came with a Winamp skin.

Well. My birthday changed from "lackluster" to fantastic. Three cards were either just late or lost in the mail, I don't mind much either way, which turned $25 into $65. A far awesomer amount. I should petition Webster to add that to the dictionary... So thats awesome. My parents are willing to drive me to ACEN after I get home because I can't leave with everybody else because I have perfect attendance because I'm a nerd. Thats good. On a sidenote, I'm now addicted to MysticWars. It's a lot of fun for just clicking buttons. I'm killing guys six levels higher than me, and my mage now has a ring which casts a spell for some additional damage on the first turn. I'm pumping out 400+ damage on my first turn, which would nearly outright kill my barbarian, but the next two turns he does another 200+ each. Which kills him. So I'm proud. My mage > many warriors. It's a lot of fun. Now I'm saving for another ring so I do 600+ on my first turn. ^_^ Can't wait. Adion is currently listening to: Stephen Malcom - Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Mystic Cave (OC Remix) [3:03]EDIT: Yeah, so my mage deals about 700 on the first turn now, and another 300+ for the next three turns, then about 90 each turn for three turns after that. If they aren't dead yet, chances are the weapon I bought today which is better than my warriors (I killed a lot of people, had a lot of money) will finish them off. pwn.
