.: Rocks :.

So, it looks like blogger has changed their BlogThis! screen... thingy. Looks more flashy, but also looks like it has less options. At the moment, I'm indifferent...

So today was pretty awesome. Aside from being forced to move boxes up and down steps because we're taking down our Christmas decorations, I enjoyed being a fool by staying up until 6 this morning (curse you Frostfell!) playing World of Warcraft (I'm addicted...) and then waking up at 1:30 (my parents are slowly relearning). Then, as my current away message indicates, a pretty big group of friends all went to Coldstone, which is a specialty ice cream place of awesomeness and had, naturally, ice cream. After burning maybe an hour and a half there, we all went to Sarah's house, who is the person in this group who consistently hosts stuff (bonfires, that sort of thing). We all had a really good time, playing DDR (which I will admit, I failed on light mode on an easy song, because I'm just that awesome), Cranium, and watching movies. It actually went a lot less late than I expected it to, only midnight. But, we also did this secret santa thing which was, unsuccessful in the main part of the idea, which is that it stays secret who's giving who what. Beyond that, it was very awesome. One of Sarah's sisters is apparently much less embarrassed by doing weird things because she dressed up as Santa and had everybody sit on her lap in the traditional fashion as done in department stores (which sounds very awkward, but it was actually not at all... sort of?). Lots of pictures were taken, and after the exchange of gifts, everybody was in a better mood (naturally)... Yeah. I'm sure this is bouncing all around, but in the end, I had a really good time.

Also, Jenny gave me Pocky! One of them is just Chocolate flavor, and the other is "Mild Chocolat", and I'm not sure if that means dark chocolate or what. The mild chocolate also says Mousse on the box in cursive. But the normal chocolate one is pretty awesome. Better than the last Pocky I had, which I think was not as fresh. The chocolate sort of melts off the stick in this one, and didn't on the other ones... Doesn't melt until you start sucking on it though, none of this melting in the bag stuff.

There's a big LAN party going down tomorrow all night long, which I'm definately looking forward to. This one is being hosted by Matt Bucowski, who has in the past consisitently held high quality LAN parties where gaming is actually done, and it's always well organized. Sort of the opposite of everybody elses? Including mine--I will not lie. I'm expecting lots of first person shooters with a taste of real time strategy and not much else.

This morning I also bought a new harddrive from Newegg... I found a promotion code for free three day shipping, so that was pretty sweet. I think it'll probably be here sometime around next Thursday, maybe Friday, seeing as today is probably considered a holiday, as well as Monday. I'm looking forward to that, for sure. I plan on installing Windows on the new harddrive, and maybe using my current one as a dedicated gaming hard drive. Maybe I'll put windows and games on that one, and the current harddrive can be programs...

Also, theres a white spider walking around my desk right now, which is pretty interesting. That sucker is lucky I don't touch spiders, otherwise he would be swimming in the... deep clear waters of my toilet? Oh well. Oooh, now he's crawling around my speakers. Sweet. He walks so funny... Feet up really high as he takes a step... Up the monitor's back there... Crawling around on top, back and forth... Hm...

.: Holidays! :.

Well, first off, Merry Christmas. Even though as Jordan just noted for me, it is not Christmas anymore.

I'd like to note that I realize many of you are most longer-time readers are expecting me to post about how much my holiday sucked again, and that I'm going to have to regretfully (not really) announce that I won't be doing that this year. It took me approximately eighteen years to realize that I don't really care about what I got. I got tons of socks and clothes, even a small set of screwdrivers that I have no use for (and when I opened them up I'm sure my bewildered face was priceless), but in the end, who cares? I'm sure someday down the line I will ask myself, "Don't I have a single pair of clean socks?" And then I will be happy I got socks. Anyway... I kind of forgot my train of thought, so I'll end this with, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year if I don't post again by then.

.: Home :.

Well, I'm now at home. And have been since Saturday night, I just didn't really feel like posting then. I want to go back to school already though. I hate this house. My parents are nice enough at times, then other times I hate them to the core. Today was a prime example. I am not a morning person, they seem to not understand this fact. They tried waking me up at 9 am this morning. You can't do that. I do not get up before I'm ready. After about a week they stop trying to wake me up again. I hope.

.: Blank :.

I was hoping I was more influential than I am.

Finals week this week, one Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, and then Friday night. Going to a review session on Monday for my Tuesday final, and maybe one for my Wednesday one as well. My Friday one I'm not worried about. Think I'll go to bed now...

.: Not Entirely... :.

...in a good mood. I woke up at two today, which is fine in my opinion. I've been a little bit sick recently with a cold, so I could use the sleep. I'm feeling better in that respect, thanks, no doubt, in great respect to that 12 hour sleep. I proceeded to slack in a fashion only concievable by those who have been to college or are currently enrolled. At approximately 6:20 I log onto World of Warcraft, ready to go on our planned raid through an instance at 7:00. I enjoy raiding Warsong Gulch with some guildmates while we wait for 7:00 to roll around. 7:10 comes and we all decide that we've waited long enough for the no-show bastards, and head on over to the instance. Once inside, guildmates wait for everybody that is here to get to the instance. Everybody arrives, we begin instancing. Core (my guild) decides that we're not going to take this seriously. Long story short, entire 20 man raid dies about 5 times and then we give up. I wasted two hours and some in game cash for no good reason. I didn't get any experience (I'm level 60, the levelcap, afterall), no noteworthy amount of cash. Thats what started my bad day. I decide after the raid that I'm going to log off, so I do. After getting bored again, I decide I should watch some anime. So I load up Core Media Player & watch the second episode of Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid. It's pretty good, but then I remember seeing an episode of Ghost in the Shell on TV while I was on break and decide that that was a good episode, and I'd like to see the rest of the show (I've only seen to 4). I load up episode 5 and then load the subtitles (curse me not knowing Japanese!). This is the most annoying version of anime I have ever downloaded, I typically have to edit the subtitles multiple times to fix them. Lines go on too long, and have a tendancy to double up and have the same subtitle load twice for the same sentence. At least I can fix it, I think to myself as I watch and edit the subtitle file at the same time. Eventually, I get to about halfway through the episode when I realize rather quickly that they decided to skip out on about 10 seconds of dialog. I search the other subtitle files I have for those ten seconds of dialog, hoping I'll find it in one of those. With no luck, I do a few short searches online and turn up nothing.

And now that I've mentioned the second thing that made me angry, I feel like a loser. Weee...

.: D&D Survey :.

My friend Matt linked me to this survey thing, so I took it.

I Am A: Chaotic Evil Human Mage Thief

Alignment:
Chaotic Evil characters are the most 'evil' people out there. They are willing to do anything to get ahead, and will kill anyone who stands in their way. A chaotic evil person sees no value in order and governments, and believes to the utmost in the tenant that 'Might Makes Right'.

Race:
Humans are the 'average' race. They have the shortest life spans, and because of this, they tend to avoid the racial prejudices that other races are known for. They are also very curious and tend to live 'for the moment'.

Primary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

Secondary Class:
Thieves are the most roguish of the classes. They are sneaky and nimble-fingered, and have skills with traps and locks. While not all use these skills for burglary, that is a common occupation of this class.

Deity:
Velsharoon is the Neutral Evil god of necromancy, liches, and undeath. He is also known as the Vaunted, the Archmage of Necromancy, and the Lord of the Forgotten Crypt. His followers practice the necromantic arts, and raise the dead to do their bidding. His symbol is a crowned skull.
