.: An Update :.

I'm now tracking four games, none of them coming out soon. Kinda depressing. I've got Portal, Tabula Rasa, White Knight Story (actually its for PS3, I'm hoping for a PC port), and Spore. Looking forward to each of their releases.

School is alright. Doing my best to stay current with the workload and not fall behind. Wish I was at UIUC right now, though. Thats for sure.

Found a new webcomic thats quite entertaining, and updates frequently. It's called Questionable Content, and I'm sure many of you have already heard of it, or possibly read it... I found it awesome. The plot draws you in, the humor keeps you reading. And its randomly got music thrown in, which is interesting.

I installed Ubuntu linux on my computer last Wednesday. Took me most of the rest of the week to get it working, but it's nice now that I do. I'm not even running it at the moment, it was more of an experiment. My goal is to get AIGLX working on it, which is basically a fancy desktop. It makes windows jibble around like jello when you move them, and stuff like that. Youtube AIGLX and you'll find a couple movies showing what it can do. Apparently my computer is actually too new to do it, however, as some drivers aren't out yet, and likely won't be released until some coders get my video card and make them. So, could be a while I guess ><

I've still managed to stay clear of WoW. It's difficult, though, I assure you. For a short period I picked up a private server to just screw around on, but that got boring quickly. Private servers are extremely buggy, and they don't compare even a bit to the real thing. They are free, however.

Hmm... Can't think of anything else. Enjoy reading QC, it took me a long while to read up to current. ^^

.: MysticWars :.

I got an email from them in my junk mail account maybe two weeks ago, and I was just filtering through it to see what was in there... Apparently they shut down and now they're using a different URL... nightwars.com. I find this interesting, because I had completely forgot about it until just now, reading the email. The crazy thing is at one point I really was addicted to it :P

.: Hammer :.

Man I haven't been this excited about something in so long. I stumbled across a website for a group of people who create maps for Counterstrike: Source yesterday. They are pretty cool people, so they put up tutorials on their website on how to make maps. Now, I have a very rudimentary knowledge of the editor, I've tried to work with it in the past, for the older version of Counterstrike, 1.6. My main problem was a lack of textures, so basically everything looked very bland. I found an editor that would let me make textures, but I just didn't have the enthusiasm for making textures as I did for full out maps, so I got bored of my map halfway through. NOT ANYMORE! This website showed me where all the texture files are that were already used for HL2 & CS:S. So now I have professionally done texture files!

That's about all I have to say today. I'm just excited ^^
