Well. I guess I neglected to mention that I got my job back at the Home Depot, a couple weeks ago. Nothin' special. I just applied for a promotion, so hopefully that works out.
I decided to download (under recommendation) the game Startopia, which is kind of dated now. It's from 2001, published by Eidos (the guys who did Tomb Raider) and developed by the now dead Muckyfoot. It's basically SimCity + the Sims, and it's really addicting. You get a space station to build on (the SimCity aspect) and you have to keep your people happy. So you start off with the basics, which is stuff like restaurants and bathrooms. They ease you into the more developed things, like the second deck where all the things are that make your people happy (discos, bars, hotels, etc.). Then they show you the third and final deck, the BioDeck, where you can terraform and grow plants. Then they bring back to the intricacy between decks, and you learn that you can build a space station on your first deck, and trade with aliens for the goods created by the plants on your BioDeck. It's really pretty awesome. I love the game, besides the combat, which is kinda shaky. I'm on a mission in the campaign where you're supposed to take the station over from two other AI's, and I just can't seem to do it... But you can play in a completely custom form, and either take the CPU out, or just make them nonviolent if you want. Really great game.
Car's holding up alright. I'm only getting roughly 20mpg, maybe a little more, and I probably could get more if I drove it right :P . I like it. Although now I wish I had an MP3 player changer or one of those FM tuners that connects to an MP3 player... One that I don't have that can actually store most of my music. I'm getting kind of tired of only listening to a few different CDs. Better than the radio at least though.
WoW's subscription ended on the 10th, and I honestly didn't even realize it. I had a lot of fun when I went back for the first couple weeks, but then Burning Crusade came out, and all my friends were playing that instead. Meaning, I could still talk to them, but couldn't really play with them much. I wish Tabula Rasa would come out soon...
Speaking of games I wish would come out soon, Portal, and Halflife 2: Episode 2 are being pushed back from this summer to winter instead. Curse them! And
Spore isn't supposed to come out until October.
In my freetime on the weekends, I'm usually over at my friend Pat's house playing some games. Of recent addiction is actually the game
Vampire. It's kind of addicting almost. I guess I've been lucky to have found a good group of players and Pat's a pretty good "Storyteller" (aka
DM).
Now I get to wait for the post from Jordan bashing me :P
