.: Meh :.

Well, not really all too much has happened...

LAN party went ok, there was only a little bit of Counter-Strike, as I predicted. We did play StarCraft for a long time, though. To my dismay, we played only one other game: Diablo II. Well, I played WoW while they were playing StarCraft because I didn't have it installed at the time, and I figured by the time I finished reinstalling they'd be done playing, so it wasn't worth it. Turns out I had it installed but no registry for it, (because I reinstalled Windows a few weeks ago...) so I could have played, but oh well.

I've got an english essay that was originally due Friday pushed to Monday so I'm ok there... As a different part of that same project, I had to memorize 64 lines of Shakespeare by today over two days. I thought I had it down but I ended up messing up at least 5 times, so that wasn't good. But it was from a funny scene (3.2) and a lot of people still laughed so that was good. I dunno, my English teacher said I did a good job and that he knew most of my lines were hard so he'll take that into consideration, but I think he was just being nice. Even if I do get a B I don't really mind, I'm confident my grade is stable enough for me to not have to take the final this semester. So thats good.

Today I went out with a few of the D&D crew to the local Marcus Theatre's and saw Sin City... It's a very, very good movie. I really think that the black and white thing was an excellent touch and gave the movie a personality. There was some nudity (nothing below the belt) and a lot of blood, but it's mostly done in a manner thats different than you would normally see, in that they typically switch to a camera style that's computer generated & only a black & white outline of the figure, with blood flowing out in the same color that the character is drawn in. It's really hard to describe. I really like it. I figured with Quentin Tarantino's name attached to it it'd be horribly gory and really disgusting but it wasn't. (I hated the first Kill Bill because it was way too over the top) It had an amazing plot, and all the hero's play exactly like a comic book hero, in that they take hits but keep ticking with no problem. I also really liked how you knew what all the characters were thinking (because it was originally done as a comic book), so you'd hear them narrorate what was going on in their heads at certain times. It was very good. Also, Frodo is a cannabilistic killer. And his sunglasses rock. If I was given the chance, I'd go watch it at least once more, probably more.

Adion is currently listening to: Asian Kung Fu Generation - REWRITE [3:46] (From the FMA soundtrack)

edit from the future!: the play was Comedy of Errors.
